[07:29:03] <LPS> Hi, I'm using Metronome as part of a yunohost installation but am having issues receiving calls on my home network (won't connect) The documentation of yunohost says to open ports 5222 and 5269 are there other ports that are specific to voice calls?
[07:32:29] <LPS> to be clear Metronome is on my home server and works fine for text, pics, etc but cannot connect calls on mobile xmpp app using home wifi, using cell data is no problem.
[07:48:07] <Maranda> LPS: that sounds like an issue with TURN/STUN setup?
[07:48:43] <Maranda> Can you paste your metronome configuration file somewhere?
[07:50:40] <LPS> Would you know the name of the file and an approximation of where it would be?
[07:52:16] <LPS> is it metronome.cfg.lua ?
[07:58:53] <LPS1> Maranda does this help? https://paste.yunohost.org/feralamolo.vbs
[08:00:54] <LPS1> I did just notice that there is a line that says "enable ipv6 and it is set to true, however I only have ipv4. Would this cause issues?
[08:05:56] <Maranda> > I did just notice that there is a line that says "enable ipv6 and it is set to true, however I only have ipv4. Would this cause issues?
Nope
[08:06:49] <LPS> thanks, that's one thing off the list
[08:07:03] <Maranda> I'll look at the config in a few doing breakfast 🙂
[08:07:23] <LPS> thx, I appreciate it:)
[08:07:25] <LPS> enjoy
[08:41:20] <Maranda> LPS: that's the bare file, there's no TURN/STUN configured
[08:41:32] <Maranda> also you would need to setup coturn
[08:41:56] <Maranda> let me see if I can dig out the configuration for voip calls in Metronome
[08:44:25] <LPS> thanks
[08:45:00] <Maranda> https://github.com/YunoHost/issues/issues/1607#issuecomment-750488957
[08:51:56] <LPS> would this not cause issues when I use cell data as well? not only in my local network?
[08:59:00] <Maranda (Aria Network)> This should help with VoIP when users are behind NAT, not the other way around.
[09:06:16] <LPS> yes, I'm behind the NAT when I can't receive calls
[09:13:08] <Maranda (Aria Network)> LPS, none the less you need STUN/TURN for VoIP calls to work correctly
[09:13:18] <Maranda (Aria Network)> or when users are behind NAT that won't work
[09:22:49] <LPS> sorry to repeat but I don't understand how it would work on mobile but not LAN? The turn/stun server is running on my yunohost server right?
[09:23:19] <LPS> outside of my home I can make an recieve voip calls, on my home wifi I can't
[09:25:07] <LPS> I will take a look at the issue you posted, thanks again!
[14:40:12] <Maranda (Aria Network)> > <@_xmpp_lps=40projections.lightwitch.org:matrix.org> outside of my home I can make an recieve voip calls, on my home wifi I can't

There're many possibilities, including that your carrier is using IPv6 for your mobile data, that has no network translation.
[14:44:17] <Maranda> Weird
[14:44:40] <Maranda> A part of the discussion is missing
[14:46:10] <Maranda (Aria Network)> Also I get the feeling that with all the join and parts caused by the bridge, the room state Matrix side is gonna explode lol.
[14:46:40] <Maranda (Aria Network)> scrolling room history backward is getting slower and slower.
