<hook> Hi. After many years I’ve come back to XMPP and am self-hosting now. My server is running Metronome on YunoHost (partially because it is bundled, partially it was on my short list anyway).
[11:12:26]
<hook> I’m concerned about spam/spim though. My old JID was public on my homepage and my now dead account (RIP Gabbler.org, thank you for serving us for so long) was rendered useless due to all the spam I was getting.
[11:13:52]
<hook> I recently found out about https://xmppbl.org/ and am wondering if Metronome supports RTBL.
From what I can tell, it supports the needed XEP, but does not implement RTBL itself.

<hook> On a separate topic, I _just_ noticed that MUC chat logs seem to sync fine between different clients, but 1:1 chats sync very differently between Conversation, Gajim and Dino. At a first glance it seems Conversations has all messages, but the other two clients don’t and also have a different selection of what they have (e.g. Dino shows just a random message from me, not even the latest, and none from my contact).
Is there some setting I am missing or is there a bug or what?

<Maranda> Not sure I have no issues with MAM, and for SPIM on DMs there's mod_spim_block which is still very effective

<hook> Maranda, I’m surprised regarding the MAM bit too. But since I so far I only have one non-MUC contact (after losing all my contacts with the old account), it’s hard to say if I can replicate the issue.

<hook> `mod_spim_block` is the thing where it opens a CAPTCHA in the browser?
